Options overview

You can set various options to optimize Social Submitter performance.

To open Options tab, click Tools --> Options...

Crawl & Submit settings allow setting connection timeout length and the number of submission threads. The display settings are default and you can change them, depending on the speed of your Internet connection. The faster is your Internet connection, the lower timeout length and the bigger number of submission threads you can set.

Note: The number of submission threads is set to 20 by default, but if you experience problems, decrease that number to 10.

If the rate of failed submissions is high, try to increase connection timeout length and decrease the number of submission threads.

As for Messages and Notifications you can uncheck any of them that you think unnecessary for you. They are all checked by default.

If you have your own database and want to load it to Social Submitter, check Load User Database option.

Proxy Server settings allow submitting bookmarks via proxy. This is recommended if you cannot change your IP, or have to submit a lot of bookmarks within a short period of time, using different accounts.

If you want to use proxies, check Use Proxy Server button. Then add proxies to the proxy list. After you’ve done that you can choose if you want to use one particular or any random proxy. To do this check the right option in Proxy Selection Method setting.

Captcha settings allow setting the number of captchas in program window and the number of attempts when solving captchas. This is totally up to you how many captchas you want to see at a time and how many times you want to solve them before you either succeed or fail.

Languages settings allow choosing the language of Social Submitter interface. At the moment you can choose from English, French, Romanian, and Russian languages.
